I have same bug on thinkpad t440s.
And that fix works for me:

I got this script on archlinux forum. I changed their value :00:1f.4
to my :00:1f.3.
# ls /sys/bus/pci/drivers/i801_smbus/
:00:1f.3 bind module new_id remove_id uevent unbind
Also i have nfc, but i don`t is it realy work.
