Grub supports fakeraid fine - you just need to teach it a little.
>From the grub prompt, run
device (hd0) /dev/mapper/[the_raid_entry]
Then find /boot/grub/stage1 as normal.
Could the update script not do this?

Yes, it appears the sftp:/ sequence is the only one which attempts to
format the status text... fish:/ and ftp:/ only say "Connecting..." with
no bold bits anywhere.
Konqueror shows the host in sftp:/ in bold as expected, and in fish:/
and ftp:/ just says "Connecting..." like Dolphin.

I agree, but we'd want to get rid of the tags. It wouldn't hurt even if

I have a folder with about 40 pdfs in it, ranging from 360K to 25M in size
(they are architects plans, so rather large). Whenever I browse to this folder
using either Dolphin or Konqueror, as soon as I put the mouse in the main

load one of these 25mb pdfs. That could possibly have something to do

I also have this problem, quite randomly it seems. I get up to "Loading
hardware drivers..." and sometimes it will hang, with the message "Error
receiving uevent message: no buffer space available". At this point I
have to hold down the power button on my laptop and try again.
