I'm seeing this problem too. Occasionally (maybe once a week) the
frontend stops responding to IR commands. I believe it is only
happening while watching video (ie. live tv or a recording, not while
the frontend is displaying menu).

sound so I used gparted to shrink my 11.04 partition, and create a 12 GB
partition on which I installed Ubuntu 10.04. I tested the sound on the
10.04 partition and it works fine. Miraculously, my sound now works in

UPDATE: I reported this bug after a restart failed to fix the problem. I
have now restarted my computer 3 times in a row, and I still have no

After installed Skype, tried a test call, sound was very low volume.

Ok, bad news. Had a severe crash on firefox today.
Good news: Its the first crash that was reported in the system message log, see
the excerpt at the end.
First segfault in fglrx_dri.so happens at firefox startoff and has no
consequences, firefox still firing up and running.
Second crash reboote
After adding /proc/modules and /proc/ati/major as readable to the
apparmor profile there are no more segfaults logged in the syslog. Maybe
this time it works?

I've a test KVM guest with hostname 'lxdhost'. Latest Ubuntu 14.04 is on
lxdhost with 3.13.0-85-generic kernel. I give 2 GiB RAM and 2 vCPU core
