I have tried to write a patch, but I can't find the path to the current icon theme. Using $ /usr/share/icons/`gconftool-2 -g /desktop/gnome/interface/icon_theme` is no good, because the Ubuntu's default theme ubuntu-mono-dark contains only a handful of icons, while the rest are pulled from the H

Yeah, I thought that might be a problem. I suggest doing one of these things: 1. Keep the icons hardcoded but either to the default icon theme, or to the official ooo/lo icons. 2. Have the thumbnailer only do the thumbnailing - the document icon can be automatically added as an emblem by nautilu
