No it's not, if you look at the original reporter's screenshot, the backgrounds
are not mixed up, the whole tray is. The original reporter even agreed that the
icons were back after fixing the MicrationHeurisitic line in xorg.conf!

For intel users experiencing this, this is probably fixed by a bug in
drm-intel in the linux kernel, and was fixed with 2.6.30-rc5 (2.6.30 is
now released). For me upgrading the kernel fixed this problem.

I tried to install a package by executing it with kfmclient exec through
opera. It first asked me for my password, which should technically be a
bug in itself because I have it set to NOPASSWD in my sudo setup.
Anyways, I enter my normal use
I have not experienced any of this behavior yet with the new version. I
am assuming it is gone. I will write here again if it happens.

last comment as of now) that they are aware and have reproduced the bug
