your kernel resolves this bug.
I'v installed them in a ubuntu 16.04 guest running in a 5.1.0 virtualbox
on a windows 7 host.
The ubuntu guest, configured to use usb 3.0 xhci controller, now boots
normally. The guest can access usb memory sticks normally.

I figured out what was wrong.
Actually, gnome does start just fine by just running:
usr/bin/gnome-session --session=gnome-flashback --disable-acceleration-check
The screen resolution did not adjust to the monitor i am using and the
menu just happened to be off screen. The
I had this problem on Ubuntu 14.04 with Fail2Ban v0.8.11.
Using "backend = polling" in /etc/fail2ban/jail.local seems to work for
me.
