I know that is out the new Kernel (Ubuntu Security Notice USN-637-1 --August
25, 2008) : linux-image-2.6.24-19 --->2.6.24-19.41
but I have many fear to upgrade because I should stop some crucial serv
...In addition to the my previous post, this problem is happened in a VM
(ESX 3.5i) without bonding.

It happens to me too. It looks like tracker runs indexing when the
computer is running on battery and it doesn't run when the charger is
plugged. So I reverted the Indexing Preferences.

I created the file /etc/fonts/conf.d/lcdfilder-legacy.conf with the content
suggested by towolf, but nothing happened. Yes, I restarted fontconfig, the X
server, then the whole system, but without success.
