I can confirm this bug in Kubuntu 8.10 final release, with Firefox 3.0.3

I have a script for my TP that makes sure everything works.
Maybe I'll figure out how to test an Edgy kernel and get back.

why it was set down since then. I would say it quite critical for the
people (and machines) involved.

That's weird, my memory doesn't usually fail me. But the logs must be
right then. I see why the importance is set like this, too.
I don't recall having experienced this in Edgy, but again, I didn't know
there was a bug like this, so I didn't do any testing and/or monitoring.

I don't know what has happened with this bug, but I solved my problems
by setting some BIOS options, specifically under Thermal Management in
Power tab, both AC and battery to "balanced". Hope this helps someone
out there with the same problems. :)

When will this fix be incorporated in the updates to Gutsy? It was nice

I have no idea whether or not the bugs with the same name as mine are

I just had this happening on an Ubuntu Edgy server running in a virtual
machine, what a pain to get fixed. :) I finally found out that I had to
open my virtual machine program, login to a seperate tty and sudo from
there, as no ssh connection allowed me to do this.
It was the same as above, and ne

Ubuntu Edgy 32 bit. I will attach a crash report. I am not sure whether
this is a duplicate of another bug or not, so I'll post it, just to make
sure. :)
