My Epson Perfection V500 stopped working after I upgraded from 17.04 to
17.10, as per everyone else's.
I created the softlink
$sudo ln -sfr /usr/lib/sane/libsane-epkowa* /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-
gnu/sane
and created the file
$sudo nano /etc/udev/rules.d/79-udev-epson.rules
with content
ATTRS{m
OTOH, Iscan now refuses to save its output as JPG or PNG.

Am now seeing this bug in Rhythmbox 0.12.8, Ubuntu 10.04 (Lynx)
It is very strange: I have ripped several cds on this system before with
no problem, but now I am getting this error on every CD I try, including
one that worked fine before.
