I don't think so... I get freezes on boot. Also my issue isn't really a
freeze, the mouse cursor just stops working. The keyboard works fine. I can
get my cursor working again by putting the laptop to sleep and waking it up
again. I suspect it might have to do with acpi or hal, or even the kernel.
That should read "I don't get freezes on boot".

I'm having the same problem as I posted in the forums at
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=992718.
I too have an NFS /home mount. Mine occurs if Firefox closes
unexpectedly such as if the power goes out or if I log out of Gnome
without closing Firefox first.

No it isn't a long term solution, but at least I can continue working.
It definitely needs to be addressed IMHO. Not sure it's a mozilla
problem or not.
I do know it did the same with Seamonkey and also with Transmission. I
think it's more an NFS issue.

rubygems as is usually recommended. At the time I found several sites
including a page on the official Rails site saying that ruby 1.8.
I also had only updates for kdelibs5.
I still have problems in Kubuntu Jaunty beta with the German languagepack.
All my system-settings is still in english.

Hopefully it does not come back!
