This still seems to be a problem for certain non-standard escape
sequences. Using
escape ``
in my .screenrc file (which sets the escape sequence to the ` key)
causes the pressing of the F5 key to result in
$ :source /home/lebedov/.screen-profiles/profile
bash: :source: command not found
$

As it doesn't seem that there is interest in including LDAP support by
default from the perspective of the the package maintainer given how
long this bug has been open, I ended up compiling from source.

Also observed on a Thinkpad T440p running 14.04.1 64-bit Xubuntu. The
system previously booted without any issue, but after bringing all
packages up to date today booting results in the missing xubuntu--vg-
root error. Booting into recovery mode and resuming circumvents the
problem. Tried reinstall
Still is an issue on trusty.

it should contain a libuser_ldap.so library:
