Get also the same backtrace. The crashed program is not in fact wine itself
but wine-preloader.
By the way I had a working version of wine 0.9.17 under edgy but now it always

I've discovered that when a removable device is plugged before I log in,
kdesktop doesn't display the icon correctly.
(while it's ok when looking in media:/)
The icon is a folder icon and doesn't allow user to correctly umount the device.

- The most important, the bad desktop icon (a folder icon) when login with a

I found a workaround:
I made a diff of the modules' source code between 2.6.22 and 2.6.24 and found
(amongst other things) that MSI was enabled.
So I added pci=nomsi to the boot commandline and got the module work again.

With Unbuntu 7.10 and OpenOffice (from Synaptic), OOo will not open or
save from/to a shared network drive (NAS Hp Media Vault). Double
clicking on the file located on the network drive from a Nautilus screen

Sorry, I meant bug #75295 (and I checked the bug twice) which is kernel
bug. The aformentioned fix is only a quick workaround to prevent hald-
addon-storage eating up all CPU but IMHO it doesn't solve the problem.

Seems problem is gone. I just activated again option to only fetch main
headers and I'm now able to see all my mails and get the new ones.

Same problem on my asus laptop A6T. My DVD Writer is /dev/hda and I got
the same messages and also hald-addon-storage eating all CPU.
Checked all my logs on /var/log but didn't find anything before the
first "hda status timeout" message which might have caused this.
