My wife has the same issue when she logs in. Ekiga shows up and then
segfaults. When I log in however (I was the first user established on
the system, if that makes a difference) it starts properly.
I tried the backtrace, but it works fine when I use that?

unattended installs (using automatic-ubiquity) for all releases of
Ubuntu since 7.10. In Jaunty, I noticed that a new option needs to be
preseeded to allow automatic-ubiquity to work
FYI, gksu (as of libgksu version 2.0.11) allocates a new pseudoterminal,
runs sudo -v to acquire a token, then uses g_spawn_sync in the parent
process once the authentication is successful. (This allows gksu to be
executed with the 'Defaults requiretty' option, which is enabled by
default on RHEL.)
