Same thing here at Purdue. There is a hidden SSID and every time I
connect to the Internet I have to insert the setup parameters. Please do
something to fix this in time!

which uses a hidden ESSID (WPA protection) with the native bcm43xx
module and it still doesn't connect automatically. It actually works
worse than the ndiswrapper+broadcom windows driver that I currently use.

I can connect to Purdue University's campus-wide wireless network with
NM, but NM doesn't reconnect to the network on the reboot or after
resume/suspend. I use 64bit Feisty on a HP laptop with ndswrapper and
Broadcom 4306 chipset. Is there a solution for this in Network Manager
