You should ask this from nvidia company due to the closed source drivers; if
it helps then I got pci express geforce go 6200 turbocache card with 128MB
(16MB real, rest is taken from ram) and suffer memory leak also...

(WW) NVIDIA(0): Option "AddARGBVisuals" is not used
- that means there is high probability that this option is bogus, that this is
false Option (typo of "AddARGBGLXVisuals"?) for nvidia driver somehow spreading
around the internet :-)

I guess it's also important to note that burning cds with autospeed has
not been an issue in the past with kubuntu 7.04, etc.

Verbatim DataLifePlus CD-R 52x 700MB --> double protection, super azo, crystal
and no errors with autospeed burn, tested with iso burning and data cd (more

this is really strange. I did complete reinstall of Kubuntu Feisty Fawn
today and added "options usbhid mousepoll=1" to /etc/modprobe.d/options
after applying all Feisty updates. Now the usb mouse polling rate is
500Hz.

alias usb:v*p*d*dc*dsc*dp
I've been using strictly workaround and usb mouse only, but if you insist
that it may have been fixed I'll try to give the touchpad one full-day use
as soon as possible in gutsy gibbon.

confirmed - removal of "/etc/default/kdm.d/20_kubuntu_default_settings" file
is also essential to get old behaviour of kdm back, there simple log out was
enough to see changes made, e.g. then you change a t
In response to a few comments about editing
"/etc/default/kdm.d/20_kubuntu_default_settings" file and not seeing any
changes: please notice that you need to either reboot or run "sudo
/etc/init.d/kdm restart" in terminal to see changes - that is what the original
reporter complains about - "The

I can see very tiny grid/pattern in window background, it reminds me of jeans

set in systemsettings, but it does get resetted to 2.0 every time I log
into kde4 ...
set mouseacceleration to 1.0 --> log out of kde4 --> log back into kde4
