Hmm, then perhaps it would be a good idea to put in /etc/acpi/resume.d a
script (I called mine 99-reload-psmouse):
#!/bin/sh
rmmod psmouse
modprobe psmouse
I think you have to chmod +x it as well.

I can confirm that I had this problem, and now it is completely fixed
with John's packages above.
This is a fairly critical bug (it completely cripples the ability to
change resolution/orientation on my laptop).

Also, forgot to mention, that this only happens for me when I run KWin
versions over 4.1. Having compositing on or off makes no difference,
and my backtrace is identical to the one above.

I don't think that KNetworkManager is detecting the cipher settings
properly for WPA enterprise -- I had to manually set PEAP as the key
type and untick the CCMP ciphers (the connection here only uses TKIP).
The old KDE3 version of KNetworkManager correctly detected these
settings.

And by trackpoint in my above comment, I was just referring to the

Is linux-firmware installed by default? I had just upgraded this

automated (eg. via a dependency) somehow, I would imagine.

I've tried to add support for it, but I haven't managed to get it to

I've tried hard coding the key management to

now) also, to no avail.

I have the latest everything in karmic, and it still happens:

Ah, I was running the old xorg-edgers PPA when I was in Jaunty.
I didn't know it looks at the version numbers and doesn't upgrade
packages that are newer, even when upgrading to Karmic.
