Binary package hint: fretsonfire-game
I installed Frets on Fire via the add/remove system. When the game is
run, the user is presented with an index out of range error. After doing
some research, this is what I have discovered:

I'm having the same problem in Ubuntu 17.04 and 17.10 with a Saga vinyl
cutter/plotter that uses a STMicroelectronics chip.
I see that there is a fix upstream; How can I go about applying the fix
myself so I can get things working again?

I just upgraded from 13.10 from 13.04. My wife is a professional

After the upgrade, the system would routinely slow to a crawl while she

My wife is a professional photographer and uses gimp for most of her
editing. We also just updated to 13.10 from 13.04 and Gimp becomes
nearly unusable at times, with unity-panel-service often hogging a lot
of the CPU, causing very long delays for the menus to appear. This is a
major issue!

I think its triggering a bug in unitu-panel-service where the actual
memory leak is.
Is there a way to profile and determine where the leak is coming from?

This report can be closed, as it's obviously a bug in Unity and not
Gimp.

I tried Gimp while Choosing Gnome and Cinnamon at login and everything
worked great as it should.

I let gimp sit open with focus for about 5 minutes with no change in free/used
memory and no unity-panel-service problems.
I then opened an image in Gimp and let it sit with focus for another 5 minutes.
There was no issues with memory or unity-panel-serv

I also have the same problem on a fresh install, running 2 GTS-250s in SLI.
Additional Drivers shows that Nvidia Current is active, but not in use.
I have tried reinstalling the kernel headers, as well as the nvidia-current

another thing to mention - this was a fresh install, and I never
installed anything from the Addition Drivers screen - from the first
time I opened Addition Drivers, the nvidia-current was already
highlighted as installed (but not active)
