Okay so I have been running almost a day using my computer a lot and it
has not frozen yet (compared to every hour)! I disabled the Desktop Cube
and reverted back to Desktop Wall (animations still on but I did turn
off the focus animation)... Can others that are having the same issue
try this and p
Okay so I really don't know what else I can add besides telling you what
worked for me... I have been running for a few days now and it has been
perfectly stable. The only thing I did was turn off the cube. I know
this does not fix everyone's problem but maybe if you are running the

I too am having this issue. I have a Gateway 7405 with an ATI Mobility
Radeon 9600. It randomly freezes when running compiz. I tried turning
off the animations and right after I did that, I changed desktops and it
froze again. I also notice it happens a lot when I try to drag the cube
