I think it's either related to a kernel bug or the new NetworkManager in Ubuntu
8.10.
And also specific with to using WPA/WAP2 and that Intel driver and a few other
drivers.

Solved.
This is not a bug. At least, not with this application.
I solved this problem by solving another problem that I was having.
I was unable to move files to trash. I did some investigating, and i saw some
intriguing things.
Despite the fact that .local/share/Trash had 777 permissions and owne

I've a couple of questions unanswered that trouble me. which are:
1. How do I upgrade the bios, if I only have Linux? Any ideas?
2. Why isn't the kernel compiled with INTEL_HDA support?
TIA

Those instructions are for DOS bootable BIOS.
The latest BIOS is only available in Windows upgrade setup.
But I did it. :-)
I used a Windows Live CD Mini PE² XT. Before booting up, I inserted the USB
stick with BIOS update.
Then I went to Windows Explorer, executed the EXE file and voila.
