On my side I'm still able to reproduce the problem but only using the
desktop without any 3D effect. The "glitch" is smoother now but still

I'm not referring to the rounded effect but the drawing defect.
Have a look at the screenshot of Edgy I've made and see the difference.
The Edgy window rounded corners are drawn properly but the Feisty ones
are not.

I did not change anything I can remember related with my default
browser. This is the first time I have this problem with Feisty. I think
from the last update.
If you are referring to the "Preferred Applications", I have Firefox as
default Web Browser...

Hi Fabio,
I have some more news:
1. I've installed the Fan control update from Mactel PPA:

3. Yersterday I noticed that the "kacpid" daemon came back to 90% of one
I could not use Unity although the ATI Drivers were installed. I had to
switch to the classic desktop session. Natty's classic desktop is still
very buggy so I'm now using Maverick.
I'm having a lot of problems to make my iMac working smoothly with
Ubuntu. I'm reporting each issue on launchpad and
I've just installed natty narwhall alpha 1 with the ATI drivers and it seems to
work well!!!
No banding issue I can appreciate.

Just installed 11.04 Alpha 1 on my iMac i7 27" (Radeon HD 4850) and
there is NO MORE vsync issue!!! The "Wait for vertical refresh" option
simply works!

I'm getting good results too with full updated Ubuntu 10.10.
No tearing at all (Desktop experience with or without compiz) but very
low performance when playing videos.
