thank for your response i got to the point to try anything and this worked,not
sure why but i downloaded this package and installed the cnijfilter-common and
the 2600 package and id worked. please see attached file

I am using Ubuntu 8.04 and when I play a DVD it just will not play properly.
The video is broken and jerky... and the sound fractured and jerky too. I did
sudo apt-get install ubuntu-restricted-extra in the terminal window and I get :

Help i have same problem and can find do answer. If i alt-ctrl-delete it
says panel not responding

I have same trouble and I am a newby my bug is error probing smb1 if
that matters pc works fine just hangs up a bit at boot with that error

was using foxfire seems that i can't install a new system on my pc with
out a monitor problem of going blank. I fixed problem by a fresh install

but i dont know how to fix this and this is a new install of 9.10 that i
upgraded to 10.04
