Can u try it with wired network only?
because when i installed the updated "compat-wireless" package from
http://linuxwireless.org/
the lockups are gone with those updated drivers ;)
why not include those in ubuntu?

I'm having this freeze at random times, but i cannot track where
sometimes the machine is up for 48 hours and freezes,
and sometimes after login screen by some seconds.
this is what happened:
- the screen and mouse freezes without any activity from X
- when pressing Caps Loc

It was working before, but suddenly stopped checking and displaying

When i run the /usr/lib/gvfs/gvfsd-computer it displays:

Now this is the case: when i disconnect my usb drive, then after a while
i empty the trash then the problem returns again until i connect my usb
drive once again.
