I was happily using F Spot to organise my photo collection in 7.04 with
no problems.
I've now transferred the data on to a clean install of 7.10 to find that
occasionally F Spot 'freezes' the entire system

I'm using Ubuntu 7.10 and have been experimenting with compiz fusion.
This bug has occurred since installing compiz. Removing compiz has not solved

I've managed to install the required packages for creating the back trace but
am struggling with what to complete for:
gdb 2>&1 | tee gdb-.txt
The program is F-Spot . so what should I put in the ?

PS I've been using Ubuntu for 2 months!!
Having struggled to produce a 'back trace', I've been doing a little
more research and have discovered that I have a VIA graphics card which
is most likely the source of my troubles. I have found other bug reports
that exactly describe what is happening.
The machine with 7.04 has a different graph
