the guest additions to it and reboot the lightdm display manager
continually restarts and then errors out. I'm left the other tty
terminals which sometimes do not work. Uninstalling the guest addition

is a delay of a count of 20 or so before it acknowledges that it is set

I have the problem of 14.04 getting to the desktop then crashing to a
reboot after a few seconds.
Both have MSI-FM2-A55M-E33 motherboards but the AMD APUs differ (one's
an A8, one an A6).
The cure for me, spotted elsewhere here, is to add
nomodeset
to the boot options.
