I have a NVidia video card with a monitor and an onboard card that I use
for audio only. This worked fine before upgrading to Kubuntu 18.04. Now
to get sound working on the onboard hdmi port I need to enable a monitor
on the port in settings [System Settings > Display and Moni

when using the nouveau driver I don't see a mouse pointer (mouse is
active and usable if you guess where it is). I installed nvidia-340 and
then I have a mousepointer
