For around a day I didnot had any problems, but now, it is getting very
frequent. Almost every half an hour. From past 3 hours I had around 6-8
times freezes.
Is it atleast identified like what is causing the issue.
I just scrapped some logs at the time of every reboot.

I can confirm that even I am experiencing this from past few days. I had to
actually reboot my system after usage of around 1 hour.
When the system is left as is with programs running, I have not yet had
a freeze.
I am tried to find any suspecting entry in the /var/log files. I was not

Hi,
Today I updated my 8.04 system with the updates reported by the update
manager. There were 94 updates overall. During the update few of the
packages like compiz, gnome-system-tools etc failed reporting malloc
error (displaying a memory map).
After the upgrade, I was not

Hi,
I just confirmed with the bug numbers listed here.
The situation is exactly similar to what is being reported in #201673

Hi,
I am using the 32 bit version, and the same error came up.
All I have to do re-create the error is close the laptop lid and open up. I
have "blank screen" setting in the power manager. Even suspend option for that
fails.

I use suspend/resume too extensively.
I had been using Karmic from the Alpha 2. I did not had any suspend/resume
problems.
But after the kernel upgrade (as mentioned in the bug 449646, kernel
version 2.6.31-12), Ubuntu would never recover from a suspend. It would
show power light on, but no oth

Public bug reported:
This was not happening in the 2.6.31-11-generic kernel. This started
happening when it was moved to 2.6.31-12 (as of now it is 2.6.31-13)
After hibernate or suspend, the resume just blanks the entire thing. Not
even REISUB works. Only hard reboot gets back the system.
