This happens in wireshark as well as tshark. For testing, to use a text
console, I used tshark:

this has never worked for me. Started with 8.04 LTS then upgraded to
8.10, then installed 8.10 x86_64. Lenovo Thinkpad R61. I get the
warning form gpm that my laptop will be shutdown, but it never shuts
down - just dies when power is low. If any logs are required I will
provide.

bitpim crashes when attempting to convert mp3 for new ringtone

I can see that the issue is how the python script is creating the job
for ffmpeg. It's passing the bitrate in kpbs when in fact ffmpeg uses
bps. I solved it by adding 000 to the end of each option in
/usr/share/bitpim/code/ringers.py which doesn't look good.

I did not have an issue using audacity from the ppa. The CPU usage for
Xorg still goes up, but stays under 20% for me.

Umm..Oops.
I had my logging going to a tmpfs to decrease SSD wear.
However, this is the only service that fails to start.
Would it be worth while having the init script for apache2 check to see
if /var/log/httpd exists and create it otherwise? That should be a
simple 'fix'

I just figured out this only happens when using gnome-shell which uses
mutter. This doesn't happen with unity, which uses compiz.

I just changed this from nvidia-current to gnome-shell. This issue only
happens when using the new nvidia drivers with gnome-shell. It doesn't
happen with the current drivers in unity. I think there is an issue
