I installed the 9.10 distro last night...setup Evolution 2.28.1 - worked
for a few hours and has resorted back to asking for the password every
now and then.
Johnvan mentioned that this problem started after the installation of a new
router. So for the record, I'm running a Linksys

I did the upgrade first - that sucked...then I did a fresh install. I
haven't tried Thunderbird yet.
I also did some digging around regarding this problem. It seems to be
directly connected with the gnome keyring. There were a bunch of people
who were having (or still are having) th
I am also having this problem. It occurs when launching Evolution from
startup or when closing and reopening Evolution.
Reinstalling Evolution did not solve the problem. Reinstalling Ubuntu
(fresh install) did not solve the problem.
This does not seem to be related with the default keyring pass

I installed 8.03 LTS on another machine but have yet to setup Evolution.
Not sure if I mentioned previously, but I did not have this problem with
8.10 Intrepid / Ibex.

I totally agree with you being on our own.
I too have reinstalled, I've made sure the password was in the keyring,
I've changed settings...nothing. It's annoying to no end.
Every time Evolution goes out to check for mail it prompts for the
password. I put it in...sometimes it works
I've lost count on how many times I've unsubscribed from this thread and
all threads on the forum.
Beginning to lose patience.
