Title:
package texlive-pictures 2013.201307
Public bug reported:
The latest 8.10 release is very quick to report battery/charge
connect/disconnect. Simply moving the laptop is sufficient to trigger a
series of beeps and warning messages that the laptop has reverted to
battery and back to charging. This didn't happen on the last release.
**
It does seem to have been rectified in subsequent releases, at least it
is no longer happening, so the action can be closed.

Is this present in Karmic? I would just like to add that it is also in the i686
version and is not exclusive to amd64.
I'd suggest either adding fortune-mod (boo) or just removing the applet (yay).

Please see attached.
Action taken was:
1. Restore a deleted MP3 to the ~/Music directory (a stephen fry podcast).
2. Start rhythmbox and allow the software to pick up the addition.
3. Delete the aforementioned file (again)
4. Observe that the same thing as stated in original bug report happens.

So is there no forthcoming fix for this? does anyone want to tutor me on
how to fix bugs like this as I have no problems spending some time on
this but getting to the route of the problem is quite daunting if it's
going to require some fairly esoteric kernel knowledge.

I'm running the PPA and I get the same "Network Error" if I close
empathy and then rerun it and log back in. It only seems to occur with
one MSN account at a time.
The odd thing is that Empathy loads really quickly and gets the error
straight away when it's not working vs the stalling and full log
Just been got by this myself trying to read some documents (not used CHM
before).
Has the author been contacted with regards to ongoing development? If
not i'm happy to try and get in touch but the inclusion of the package
in lucid makes me think that we're just including apps for inclusions
sake
Also this doesn't apply to just pages with images (rename bug possibly?)
but to all pages that are longer than one screen-size.

It's a shame this didn't make it as a papercut as i used the sendto for
an ISO and figure it must be something people will bump into sooner
rather than later. Even if they just copy a music directory to a thumb

I hope this gets fixed for Karmic! Anyone offering mentorship

Just to be sure, does the workaround of executing 'eject' in a terminal
still works fine
Happens to me as well. Sorry about chiming in with a "me too" but I can
only say that it is definitely compiz only (metacity is fine without
compositing) and this is a HP notebook with ATI Radeon graphics.

I've refiled the bug at https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=598581 to

I don't think invalidating it here does much good when the same amount of

This fix has already been backported into Fedora/EPEL essex packages.
Can you request that the Ubuntu package maintainers do the same?
The first stable/essex release has not occurred as yet - the stable-
