Still running 64 Hardy LTS
Issue just occurred to me; lost lots of important notes.
Notes are stored XML file ~/.gnome2/stickynotes_applet
There's no good reason why this should happen; overwriting some
arbitrary files in home when space runs out

All sticky notes are erased when out of disk

change the line:

to
update-rc.d kvm defaults >/dev/null

sudo aptitude -f install
Install seems OK, though I now have other issues that seem parameter-related.

Hey Marc,
Haven't worked up the nerve to run the upgrade again since I got a
working system back after downgrading KVM.
Until the new patch comes out (8.2, it think) along with a corresponding
libvirt update, I'm a bit hesitant to run the update, since I'm reliant
on my VM's

I'm not sure whether or not this issue is purely a KVM issue, but I've
gone from pillar to post in the various IRC channels (kvm, vibvirt,
ubuntu-virt, qemu, etc), and every group indicated that it's not an
issue in their domain.
As indicated above & in the forum,
I did have debian repo's defined in my sources.list, for specific apps &
purposes, but they have long-since been commented out/removed.
As for the KVM installation, I've been using the standard ubuntu apt/aptitude
repositories & installation/upgrade methods since day-1 (`sudo apt-get update

On my old windows-based clients, I get a BSoD, indicating the non-
availability of APCI
Completely removed & purged all traces of KVM & libvirt (including
directories), reboot & re-installed.
Old clients are still useless, but manages to re-install a copy of xp32
(running out of activations soon.
Issue is still present, even after numerous updates & releases (discrepancies
between KVM, libvirt & virt-manager seem to be getting more pronounced)

Defining a client, via virt-manager, drive allocation seems inconsistent.
On some (DSL, pfSense), the primary HDD is allocated as hdb, and on others
(ibex) as hda.

I've set up an OpenVPN server & was able to connect to it with my
Android mobile without much hassle via the *.ovpn config file.
I've been able to use a config file to manually compose an OpenVPN
config to start the connection via CLI as detailed:

I think I'm experiencing an identical issue: Banshee retrieves playing stream's
metadata OK, but fails to play media - constantly flicks buffer to 0.0%.
This stream works well/great in other clients, such as VLC & Chromium browser
(on multiple OS's)

Had to upgrade my 10.04 32-bit to kernel 3.0.x to resolve a power-
management issue, but that broke wireless.
linux-headers* are not available on this platform (only up to 2.6.32-38
atm), so stock installation/compilation fails.
