I have had a close look at the diff using "git diff" so I can visualise
the issues.
The lines you are referring to have spaces appended to the end of the
line (trailing spaces) - so yes the output looks weird but under git
diff you can
ok - with the reversion, the only updates here that will benefit here
are the cinnamon fixes.
other than that, suggest no need to incorporate this in 17.04.

tried also 64bit latest alpha 2 image. 40GB virtualbox HDD - again

gnome-desktop3 is very much simplified to explicitly check the
draw_background key from the background schema. Note - I haven't
included a new changelog for this debdiff.

How are you tweaking "manually"? - the settings have to be done via
budgie-settings. That is by design.
Please don't poke values in via dconf.

ok - you haven't explained how you are changing dconf values for left
and right buttons.
/com/solus-project/budgie-wm button-layout and button-style are the keys
you change.
Changing both of these correctly will not be overridden by budgie-
settings.

as mentioned - TLP is uninstallable in 17.10 and as such this is fixed

2.7 or latest version of webkit2gtk is due to be SRU'd to 16.04 & 17.04.
During artful testing, budgie-welcome segmentation faulted when running
with the 2.7 series of webk
The linked bug report is (I think) about installing language packs and
corresponding components.
Here, we already have such things on the ISO and it appears something is
deliberately uninstalling them.
But you are correct, on first login, the LANG value is indeed
en_GB.UTF-8

hmm - I don't seem to have the rights to add artful and zesty as the
affected series. Please can someone add these?
Enc are two debdiff patches - one for artful, one for zesty.
