I can confirm that if I manually build the saucy deb on this precise
raring HWE, the wireless works fine.
Therefore, I would suggest that the saucy broadcom source package should
be backported to precise so that HWE upgraders dont suffer the same
issues.

hmmm - Daniel - the other bug report says that it is "fix released" -
but clearly the issue is not resolved as per the last comment.
Can I suggest you either reopen this one or reopen the other bug report?
This is an invalid bug - the powermanager plugin is supposed to be
hidden.
Note - look at the upstream code. The plugin is "BuiltIn" which means -
part of the core capability and should not be exposed to users.
If you want this changed, this really needs to be pushed upstream to
rhythmbox-bugzil

update installed in virtualbox VM + virtualbox guest additions and
dkms.
1. Settings - Printer icon - no crash. It detects my HP Wifi based printer on
the "add a new printer" dialog
2. Selecting the printer and clicking the a
marking this invalid for moka-icon-theme. From the reports above and
the linked forum, this issue is caused by other iconsets - so it is not
specific to moka-icon-theme.

AndyRock via IRC #ubuntu-devel 10/02/17 suggested this fix. I have
slightly altered this so that the the remove ptr line is within the
weak-ptr if clause otherwise the weak-ptr function would crash where the
ptr does not actually exist.

Text Entry is hard-coded in Unity's fork of gnome-control-center. So
we cannot use that.
There is an unfortunate bug that first appeared in 16.10 and is
unlikely to be fixed in 17.04 with region & language - you cannot add
languages.
Thus - we have included language support as a work-around. Ho

I've looked at the gsetting value in that Q - looks like GNOME has

After following the ISO test case "Install (Auto-resize" and rebooting,
the subsequent GRUB displayed with the two O/S's should that the new
Ubuntu Budgie install was displayed in GRUB as "Ubuntu".
The other Ubuntu Budgie install is shown as "Ubuntu Zesty Zapus"

This revised patch contained in the current zesty package switches the
emphasis of the patch back to be a Unity specific (dash) issue as per
the original LP for what it was created.
It does this by only running the delayed monitor sync part of the code
if the desktop session itself is "ubuntu" i.e
This patch has been found to be required due to the inclusion of the
other Ubuntu specific patches in gnome-menus.
Testing the vanilla orig tar file together with the Debian patchwork
this patch has been found to NOT be required.

The monitor delay change does not appear to cause the invalid desktop
entries - that appears to be the rest of the Ubuntu specific patchwork.
