hmm? No this issue is with the default fkms out of the box overlay - so
nothing is forced here.
What I was also saying that the v3d overlay overcomes the flashes issue
... but only if you copy the overlay into the overlays folder as
upstream pi maintainers say should be happening with the Ubuntu

I note that the mutter reported was using mutter 3.36.6 - this is
currently in focal proposed as well.

Ok. On my low end celeron based intel graphics laptop the existing 20.04.1
version of mutter on the iso has this blinking problem.
So the uplift to v3.36.6 version of mutter in proposed does not regress
further than it already is.

Daniel - FYI - I raised the issue of the dtoverlay vc4-kms-v3d vs vc4
-kms-v3d-pi4.
TL;DR - the v3d overlay is not activating the accelerated driver.
Upstream confirmed this is an issue with Ubuntu's kernel - I'm hoping
this will be caught and resolved in an upcoming raspi kernel update.

It's actually an xorg issue.
The window manager is correctly blocking where space reservation has
been made (the panel)
The workaround is to use auto hide or intelligent hide which does not
reserve space on the scre
Disabling secure boot allows network-manager to display the wifi
connections.
Installing WITHOUT secure boot also allows network-manager to display
the wifi connections.
So currently bcmwl-kernel-source will only work with non-secure boot

Just to say - after installation - I was prompted on reboot to enter
my MOK password. So entering the password was accepted and then an
auto-boot took me to the normal login manager - and subsequent login.

I've also tried to delete all the existing mok keys and do a clean
install
so boot and use the "Install Ubuntu Budgie" option. Chose UK and
London. Selected 3rd party checkbox and entered "password" twice for

ok - just done a fresh entire disk install whilst testing the .2 ISO.
See attached modprobe.txt (for the modprobe - I think you meant 'wl' so
I did that as well.)
I followed up by connecting to the network (RJ45) and reinstalling
bcmwl-kernel-source
I saw the same wl message as per modprobe.
On
To clarify - the modprobe was not a live-session - this was after a
full disk install.
So - I MOK enrolled after the ubiquity install - no wifi on first
logon. Modprobe wl gave the not permitted error.
I then manually connected and force a reinstall of bcmwl-kernel-source
and subsequently on boo
The full terminal session is in modprobe.txt but in summary the bcmwl-
kernel-source reinstall was simply:
apt --reinstall install bcmwl-kernel-source
This is a full ISO installation - no extra packages added/nor removed
modinfo wl returns a sig_key signature
The output of the mokutil sed i
I can confirm that sound is no longer muted for the ISO and is not muted on
installation.

Note. You have that installed but you need to reboot since that was
installed.
If this is still occurring after a reboot then there isn't anything more
we can do since it is looks like a new upstream issue ... the code is
identical to upstream.

Hi!
Yes - the support for Ibus non-xkb layouts via the applet is broken in
focal - fixed as you have seen in groovy.
Thus I have backported the patch and SRU'd here

Can confirm that can select Japanese Kana from the applet and type
directly into a text editor.
Switch to GB and keyboard layout and text was ok. Switched to US and US
keyboard layout chosen. Changed again to Kana and Japanese layout and
