We can't do anything without a minimal patch that fixes this particular
issue. We don't want to import a lot of unrelated changed into a stable
release because of the high risk of regressions.

It's a bug in the code. The function force_widget_redraw in
src/animation.c is supposed to return a gboolean, but there is no return
statement in the body of the function.
It should probably be fixed in git soon, or you can try an earlier
revision.

We need precise steps to reproduce, please. The package shared-color-
targets does not exist in any Debian or Ubuntu release, I'd be surprised
if an Ubuntu package explicitly asked for it.

Okay, well, there's no easy fix for that. A new package in Maverick now
(let alone in Lucid) would probably be rejected. We can backport the PPA
version, but that would probably take a while since it's a new
package...

Not a bug. You're trying to build the module against a kernel version it
is not compatible with. The package is for Lucid, it is intended to be
buily against a Lucid kernel, not a Maverick one.
