Hi all,
I've the same kacpid problem on my new HP EliteBook 8540p. Same BIOS as
reported by FiX.
When I boot the pc kacpid is not eating my CPU. It seems to start after I
suspend or hibernate the pc.
Not sure about the solution of setting to on the "FAN always on while on AC
power" in the BIOS

Remember to give to the script execute rights

Hope it helps!

Just chiming in here that tools like the Vala Language Server
(https://github.com/Prince781/vala-language-server) depend on recent
bugfixes in Vala. Going through with this proposal would allow people to
develop Vala software on Focal without having to rely on PPAs.

Title:
[SRU] Update to vala 0.48.17 in foca
Public bug reported:
When starting the image box 'ubuntu/bionic64' (v20171206.0.0) for
virtualbox in MacOS, I get this error:
bash: line 4: /sbin/ifdown: No such file or directory
sed: can't read /etc/network/interfaces: No such file or directory
sed: can't read /etc/network/interface
I also had this problem and the suggested workaround helped solving it.
Actually, it additionally solved a delay issue on login screen when
recovering from suspension and a delay on xdotool commands. Is it
possible to reopen this bug report or should I open a new one?

Looks like the _apt issue is a different one:

And looks to be related to some confusion of the sources setup by
default.
