I have the same problem. When inserting a CD or DVD, nautilus crashes and all
desktop icons disappear.
If I try to access Desktop or CD Rom from the "Place" on the tool bar, a tag
"opening Desktop" will show

The PC successfully falls asleep, but doesn't resume when a external hdd
is connected by firewire.
The drive is encrypted with luks (cryptsetup) and formated with ext3.
The drive is halted as soon the PC sleeps. When waking up the PC, the
drive won't start again till reboot

The same thing happens in Lubuntu 10.04 when using pidgin. This is
probably a problem of the notification area, as Lubuntu does not use the
gnome-panel or notification area.

After activating the restricted driver from jockey-gtk and reboot, the
monitor does not receive any signal from the VGA output of my Graphics
Card from the X-Server. Console terminals (tty1-6) work fine.
