Ubuntu hard locks ever since Hardy came out last year.
I did never experience it before. Hardy was terrible it locked almost
every 5 minutes. I dropped Hardy and went back to Gutsy. Intrepid was a
lot better, but still hardlocked sometimes. After one month I went to

Thunderbird to Evolution, finding it better to use, but right now

package. After removing it Evolution started again as normal.

The problem is that I have been using the nvidia-177 driver all the
time. Should this problem already be fixed in the current 177 driver, or
will it be fixed later on?

After my G-Earth crash the program did not show the planet anymore. I
tried to reinstall G-E, but now the whole program fails to start. I will
remove it and install the older version 4.2. But because of this I was
not able to reproduce the crash.
I added my recent Xorg.0.log.old. I don't know if i

For me it is not an issue at this right moment, as I am on Debian 5.0. I
have been on Intrepid for a while after it became stable in October and
also didn't encounter this issue anymore.

I have the problem too, but only with OOo Impress 2.3. I did reinstall
it 2 times, but it still doesn't display any window borders or title
bar. I'm running the Final 7.10 AMD64 and I also use Compiz-Fusion and
Emerald.

I have just made screenshots of my system monitor after a fresh reboot.
I didn't open any other program. It shows my system using 793,6 MB RAM,
while it used to be under 300 MB in 10.10.
I did also attach a screenshot of all the running processes. Compiz is
running quite normal, around 70 MB. But

I also have an enormous RAM increase since I updated my 10.10 system to
11.04 beta. Whenever I did a fresh reboot of my system it was using
under 300MB RAM from Ubuntu 6.06 to 10.10. Now it is using around 800MB
RAM after a fresh reboot and is going up to 1.3 GB RAM with just Firefox
4 and Empathy

I just said that the problem disappeared from my system, but this turns
out only to be partly true. When the Unity desktop is on for a few hours
it seems like some processes are slowly increasing memory. Like compiz
started at 70 MB Ram, but increased to 160 MB Ram in a few hours.
