i had a problem where could'nt boot into 27-6 until I changed my bios from IDE
to AHCI (Vwracer, i had the same problem, try changing your bios from "AHCI" to
"IDE". worked for me.)
Is it possible that if the drives on any particular machine are not set spot
on, 27-6 is quite sensitive.

BTW - I never found a fix to this issue and got tired of the very slow

After the ext3 loops,
msg stops and displays memory corruption low memory. Not sure if re; kernel mem

loops are still present. Fully updated system and up to the 180.35
nvidia driver. I had first tried the 180.29 driver installed by hand and

I have the same problem with the Dapper Live Cd. I'm running Athlon 64
2800+ on a MSI mobo and WD 400 GB sata drive with Plextor P916A DVDR
sata drive. The bios and the drive firmware are uptodate.
It hangs for a long time on "mounting root file system", then eventually
displays "booting the kerne

happy to report that alsa-driver-hg20070922.tar.bz2 works on my Dell
D531 with SB600 Azalia. the only minor issue is my sound output slowly
crawls to 100% sound, even after turning it down. If anyone knows how

As a side note I tried turning off WEP and connecting without any
security, but it still didn't work. I tried re-selecting the wireless
network while it was connecting without security and nothing happened,

Hi: I received this error with 10.04 RC on 26Apr10 when booting on a
Dell 4550 desktop. When loading from the cd it did not stop at an
intermediate menu to allow for selecting the live boot, install,
