I solved this for me. The cause, garbage BIOS (ver. P08)from XFX for my
680iLT. I had to use the BIOS for the board above mine (ver P33). Once I
flashed to P33 BIOS for this board, ALL is well. P07 does not have the
best Wolfdale support. P33 has the best support. I had no idea I had to
use a BIOS
I do not have nor have I ever had toshiba_acpi module load, and the
issue of my PC locking up with VT enabled is STILL present. PearZoo is
hasty in their conclusion me thinks? Can this bug get some attention
please?

Root nautilus trash selection freezes nautilus and eats memory until
nautilus killed.
This manner of "closing" bug reports is trifling. There is no crash
report generated in all instances. In my case Nautilus never crashes,
just hangs and eats RAM. So in this case, what report is to be

I have the xmms2tray running, with esperanza and gxmms2 with the

Although I still get the exact same fail message for whatever version of
the kernel I install, for some reason, with th
rw tells me connection refused, and there is no /dev/lirc0
dev. The lircd daemon then dies. I just want to be clear, because
garbage in.

The remote appears to work with kernel 2.6.24-2 but none other, linux-
ubuntu-modules are installed, but does not install the modules it claims
it will.

When other kernel versions are installed, and irw is run, if there is
not connection refused error, then the lircd daemon dies. I have no clue
and hope all this testing helps someone.

After reboot my remote works with lateset server kernel.

The only thing I did differently was to add haup-ir-blaster.bin to the
folders of the kernels I want to use. "/lib/firmware/2.6.24-3-server".
