Hi, I open this bug, but it is very old I think. So I think I can close
or delete the bug. And I can't confirm if this bug still exists, because
I sold the computer on which I had this bug. Also the status won't fix,
is a bad indication. But thanks anyway.

OK, I tried it with 8.04.1 and the sensors are shown on xfce4-sensor-applet.
So everything seems pretty normal. Thanks for all the work so far.

Hi,
I read in the bug report for the sensors-applet (Bug #94558) that there was a
problem in hdd-temp with invalid characters in the hdd description, so I
installed the version 0.3-beta15-36 of hdd-temp. This resolves the problem with
the name of the hdd and a glitch in the sensor-applet of gno

Hi,
normally I'm using the irqpoll option because as I have written with

feedback.
I hope my dmidecode is exploitable even if I'm computer isn't p
Hi,
I have the same problem but with CDs. When I insert a disk before the boot up
sequence (or it is already in the tray before boot) I have two icons for one
disc on the desktop. If I unmount one (no matter which one) the other icon
stays and is unmountable till I reboot.
Thanks

Yes I do more or less,
because I found some way to compensate. I use nautilus as file manager and set
the font there on a 12 so it looks like a 10 on the xfce. Then I changed the
xfce System Font to 10 and the font in Firefox shrinked to nearly the nautilus
desktop size. So it is still a bit lar

Hi,
I have a similar problem if I`m using the CPU on full power and without
any limitations the THZ*s will rise above 105°C/80°C (yes it is that
high) and the system is going down, but gladly in a controlled manner
(no file system check needed on next start up).
But I found a more or less working
OK but I tried. Couldn't find any new information. But it seems like a common
problem. Did you ever try to fix your possibly broken dsdt table like describe

Maybe this won't fix everything but a part of it? I'm not that experienced to
give valuable advices.
