I didn't receive confirmation about the mainline kernel to use.
In the meantime I created a file called /etc/modprobe.d/iwl.conf and
filled it with the following:
options iwlwifi 11n_disable=1 swcrypto=0 bt_coex_active=0 power_save=0
options iwlmvm power_scheme=1
options iwlwifi d0i3_disable=1
Reproduced on latest centos kernel 3.10.0-1160.53
It's so strange that this keeps on happening I tried disabling swap and
everything but it doesn't care. There's 100 GB free ram and yet it
happens

I have the same problem. In my case, it is caused by upgrading the
NVIDIA driver metapackage to 510 from 470.

Well, I ran through the tests, once each with a single patch commented
out. The only one that creates this problem is the removal of
105_fdo_att7409_bug5437.diff. I hope this helps.

I have the same problem on a Gateway MX6028 (same video card).
Some more details:
- Video runs fine if nothing else happens on the screen;
- As soon as I e.g. change the volume (press volume +/-, which is a shortcut to
kmix), switch to Firefox or Thunderbird, etc., the segfault is generated and
I still (occasionally) seem to have the same issue. It only seems to
happen the first time I log in after a reboot. I attached the two
xsession-error logs. HTH.
