found an usb pen with an old ISO: Ubuntu 18.10 "Cosmic Cuttlefish" - Alpha
amd64 (20180729)
installed on a partition of same disk disconnected from internet to have an old
kernel, problem does not occur. let me know if i can send syslog or other info.

Problem seems due to some recent update. as you can see from the
attached terminal output sweethome start ok before updates, then i run
apt update+upgrade and after upgrades sweethome does not start.

I think the problem should be accounted to libreoffice and not to yaru
because other applications (see GIMP) does not have the same problem

I'm unable to reproduce your problem also on my laptop with 1366x768 screen.
please post here the output from the command 'inxi -Fx' if you does not have
inxi you may install it 'sudo apt install inxi'
please post also the link to your bug in bugzilla.

the update+upgrade installed the new snapd (2.35.2+18.10) over (2.35.1+18.10)
and now i have all the default snap working
