well, for me it looks like there are more bugs which show the same
effects or only one bug which is caused by different problems and
configurations of hardware. I'm using ubuntu 12.04 on a 64 bit
configuration (and ATI/radeon as graphic card) without any problem; on a
32 bit configuration with sand

properly after installing nscd, but only if they use a ubuntu 2D session
(or gnome 2D or gnome fallback session).
