OMG! if you are still using gusty, check your GPU temp with nvidia-settings
Mine was at 108 degres celsius. 155 it's shutdown temp.
This topic should be critical, it's not only about sound but about GPU fan too.

But, you forget to say, the size of the tar.gz patche is 237mo?
Do you think, need 237mo is good way to solve a kernel problem?
Does it work for 64bits too? or only for i386?
