I have also a speedtouch 330 modem and when I boot with the latest kernel, I
get the same error.
This is a confirmed problem of 2.6.27 kernel. I have tried this on gentoo also,
and I was able to find a solution searching on the internet.

So? I didn't see any changes. Can we expect changes on a new version of
the iso image? Or at least in a kernel update.

For me the output of the above command is i3.
