Other users have encountered this bug, after bringing the BIOS to the
most recent version, and there is a work-around, but it didn't work for
me.

I have had an increase of problems regarding the wireless for the HP
dv2000 with the latest BIOS update, including wireless working when
'orange' (off) and then cutting off, both in Vista and Ubuntu. However,
after I resume from stand-by in Ubuntu sometimes eth1 (wireless) just
disappears.
