I am no longer having the problem. I have enabled remote desktop again.
Vino-server starts up upon login to GDM and hasn't crashed. This is
after a series of updates over the past couple days. Have any of you
done an update recently.

Yes, this is not a bug, but quite annoying. I just cannot get out of
the habit of pressing power on my laptop and alt+s without having to
manual close out all open programs... Programs requiring me to save
data kindly give me this option and gracefully shutdown. Firefox should
just close. Any
