I can reproduce this bug in evince 2.22.2-0ubuntu1. Specifically I see
this bug every time I open certain pdfs from firefox. Unmaximizing
evince gets rid of the loading screen and displays the pdf as normal.

I had the same problem. xrdp wouldn't stay running from the startup
scripts, but if I logged in I could run it manually with no problems.
After a few days of trying everything I could think of I stumbled upon a
solution. Putting a delay at the end of /etc/init.d/xrdp seems to do
the trick. I add

F1D094 with a brand new IOGEAR 2 port (USB) model GCS632U and I no

If I run kontact, dbus-daemon uses over 2 GB of ram and 100% cpu after a
day. Running dbus-monitor shows a constant stream of activity from
akonadi. If I kill kontact and the various akonadi services, things go
back idle. This is with the latest jaunty, and has been occuring for a

Turning off tiling made it respond *much* more quickly for me as well. I
read there were many disadvantages to doing without tiling, but the
massive performance boost while rotated is worth it.

I had/have a similar problem as well, although in my case, like Thomas
Detoux's, killing java gave me sound back. I was able to "fix" it by
using the ALSA wrapper for OSS applications (package alsa-oss, command
is aoss) before launching java. I was losing sound even when the java
program I was run
Prior to the final release I downloaded the open office version from
their site. It worked well. 2 or 3 days ago I received an ubuntu
update for Openoffice. It replaced my files with the Open Office Ubuntu
version. Now, I can't do anything with the program.
