Sadly in the new version of ubuntu 8.04 the package gsynaptics is still
missing in the deafult installation so there is still no way to
conifgure/disable you touchpad of your laptop.
Please, fix it and include it to the next relase of Ubuntu so
unexperimented people can configure properly its touc
it has been already fixed :)

scrolling, enabling it..) unless you add the following package:
