Why isn't the feature enabled by default? It's usually the preferred
behaviour, isn't it?
Also, as users are not notified that the default behaviour has changed
after upgrading to Karmic, therefore most people will think it's a bug
and start filing bugreports, try to search for driver updates, etc
I think that's just fine. If the touchpad responded immediately, you
wouldn't be able to move the pointer, because all taps would result in a
left-click, right?

I did reconfigure my ovn environment so I could change the internal
network to a geneve network and with that did the same test as above. I
was able to ping 10.0.0.2 from vm0 both before and after the floating IP
creation. So currently I'm not able to reproduce the bug
